Olivier Mosset (b. 1944) is considered one of the most radical representatives of contemporary painting. Taking the question of what painting is and how it works as a starting point, he created a diverse oeuvre consisting of monochrome and abstract geometric works that rejects any kind of mystifying interpretation.

In her exhibition, Kirstine Roepstorff (b. 1972) explores darkness and its meanings. Roepstorff invites the public down a cleverly devised path, set out as a journey through darkness, to explore a built, ostensibly barren landscape of sand, gravel and cement-plastered wall elements, within which a multitude of selected works by the Danish artist are to be discovered.

It is 16 years since the last comprehensive monograph on Olivier Mosset was published. We are therefore delighted that, after such a long time and on the occasion of Olivier Mosset's 75th birthday, we have been able to publish a long overdue new monograph. With text contributions by Sabine Schaschl, Philip Ursprung and Evelyne Bucher, Snoeck Verlag, Cologne.

For the exhibition opening at the Museum Haus Konstruktiv, the so-called Cimaises by Olivier Mosset were realized in ice for the first time. They could only be seen for a short time in the museum's forecourt. For all those who missed them, the melting process was recorded on film. >>>
