At the end of the year, we are dedicating an exhibition to each of two artists and, in addition, a collection exhibition is on the program.
Sonia Kacem (*1985 in Geneva, lives and works in Amsterdam) is the 14th winner of the annual Zurich Art Prize 2021 awarded by Museum Haus Konstruktiv and Zurich Insurance Group Ltd. Central to Sonia Kacem's artistic work is her sensitivity to materials that she takes from our everyday consumer cycle. From them, the artist creates expansive sculptural arrangements in which she plays with our expectations regarding the nature and function of the materials. Florin Granwehr's (1943-2019) retrospective solo exhibition showcases his multi-layered oeuvre, which includes a wealth of rarely published sketches, models, and drawings in addition to several realized art-on-construction projects and sculptures in public spaces. With an exemplary selection of works, Granwehr's oeuvre is to be shown in its entire spectrum. In the collection exhibition Works on Paper, Museum Haus Konstruktiv opens for the first time an exhibition in which exclusively works on paper from its own collection are presented. Selected prints and drawings will be used to show the central role this medium plays in the work of constructive-concrete and conceptual artists.
Both the on-site mediation offer and the digital program are constantly updated and adapted to the situation.
We look forward to your visit!
