In the very first exhibition space on the fifth floor of Museum Haus Konstruktiv the Swiss artist Guillaume Pilet (b. 1984) captivates the observer with an immersive presentation: a mural, a curved and not yet painted panoramic image, three pedestal-like objects in garish raspberry red, lemon yellow and sky blue, and a video piece. This is a setting for a multi-day performance.

The human body plays an important role in Pilet’s work. The panoramic image will be realized during the performance according to the artist by a man to whom body paint had been applied. In turn, the pattern on the man’s skin resembles the one in the mural and, in a way, brings the mural to life.

Guillaume Pilet presents his work as part of the group show RESET - Museum. Collection. Future.

On the occasion of its 35th anniversary, Museum Haus Konstruktiv shows a spectacular collection exhibition. Selected new additions are presented, together with outstanding collection pieces that have not been shown for some time will be presented. In the Spotlight section, these chosen artworks are supplemented by four Swiss artist's newly produced works. Guillaume Pilet (b. 1984) is among the invited artists, along with Alexander Bühler (b. 1977), Ana Strika (b. 1981) and Sam Porrit (b. 1979). On the basis of their positions, we demonstrate the direction in which our collection could be extended in the future.
