Information and precautionary measures for museum visits

Dear visitors,

We are delighted to be able to welcome you back to Museum Haus Konstruktiv. Until 13 September 2020, you have the opportunity to visit the solo exhibitions on Brigitte Kowanz and Otto Piene. For us, the safety of the visitors and staff have top priority. To guarantee your protection, we have developed a specific concept that complies with the requirements of the Federal Office of Public Health and the Swiss Museums Association. Listed below, you will find all the information that will be of use to you on your visit to Museum Haus Konstruktiv.

Tue / Thu–Sun: 11 am to 5 pm 
Wed: 11 am to 8 pm 
Monday closed

Getting here
Museum Haus Konstruktiv can be reached by public transport. There are two visitor parking spaces on Selnaustrasse. Please contact reception to have the barrier unlocked. Parking motor vehicles in the courtyard is not permitted. The courtyard does have a bicycle parking facility. Getting here and map of the area >>>

Hygiene measures

  • There is a hand disinfection station for visitors in the entrance area.
  • On the 1st floor, there are lavatories with washbasins, soap dispensers and disposable paper towels.
  • The doors to the exhibitions are open, so it is not necessary to touch the door handles. If weather conditions permit, the museums front door will also be kept open.
  • The Reception and café staff are separated from visitors by a pane of acrylic glass.
  • The museum shop and the cloakrooms entrance are open.
  • We ask that you pay without cash if possible.
  • Additional cleaning and hygiene measures are in place throughout the museum infrastructure.

Please observe the distancing rules

  • Staff and visitors are kindly asked to remain at least 1.5 meters apart.
  • For adherence to the distancing requirements, a queuing lane with 1.5-meter intervals has been marked on the floor in the entrance area and on the ground outside.
  • A maximum of 2 persons can be present at any one time in the cloakroom and shop areas respectively.
  • Handbags up to A4 size may be taken into the exhibition.
  • A maximum of 70 visitors can be present at any one time.
  • The maximum number of persons per exhibition room is limited.
  • A maximum of 8 persons can be present at any one time in e indoor space of the café.
  • Please follow the reception and supervisory staff's instructions.

Additional measures

  • No public guided tours and art mediation programs for children or youths will take place until further notice. We recommend a private guided tour and our digital mediation program >>> 
  • The library and art studio on the 6th floor will remain closed until further notice.
  • The precautionary measures will be regularly reviewed and adapted as necessary.
