ALICJA KWADE

8 February to 6 May 2018

Museum Haus Konstruktiv shows a comprehensive solo exhibition by Alicja Kwade (b. 1979). This renowned sculptor and conceptual artist is a relativist who skeptically questions what is supposedly our reality. In her multimedia work, she addresses a wide range of very different ideas and conceptual models to create pieces that are both formally stringent and sensorially poetic.

GERHARD VON GRAEVENITZ

8 February to 6 May 2018

Museum Haus Konstruktiv is honoring German artist Gerhard von Graevenitz (1934–1983) in a retrospective. Through his work, he provided important stimuli for kinetic art, op art and computer art, while promoting international networking of the constructivist-concrete movement.

ROBIN RHODE WINS THE ZURICH ART PRIZE

In 2018, this Zurich art prize goes to South African artist Robin Rhode. His latest works contain references to modernism, play with the vocabulary of constructivism and incorporate notions from color theory. The jury expressed enthusiasm about Rhode’s handling of constructivist borrowings, which he can implement with relish in response to space and context.

2018 ANNUAL PROGRAM

In 2018, Museum Haus Konstruktiv will present an exhibition program that is rich in variety and devoted to various trends in constructivist-concrete and conceptual art. In summer, we will host a comprehensive solo show by internationally renowned German artist Imi Knoebel.
